Metal Gear Solid 5: Peace Walker
I just came across a news post over on Kotaku regarding some development news regarding Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. A Konami spokesperson, Jiro Oishi, during an interview on the Kojima Productions Blog mentioned that during the initial development process that the upcoming PSP Metal Gear Solid game was originally entitled Metal Gear Solid 5: Peace Walker. I've heard of Kojima's claims that Peace Walker is a Metal Gear Solid 5-class game before, so it begs the question, "If it is a Metal Gear Solid 5 class game why not just name it that?". I am curious as to why they changed the name and wonder if it might something to do with the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Rising for the X-Box 360 (as well as the PS3)? I have a feeling this might be the case as it would officially have stamped Rising as simply being a side-story which some Metal Gear Solid fans already perceive it as being.
